Once again, I apologise for the late blog. However a belated Happy New Year to all my readers! Hoping you all had a good night and brought the new year in well. I successfully managed to this year! (I wont explain last NYE...).
So my room-mate Nicki and I originally decided to host a New Years Eve party at our flat. Thankfully it went off without a hitch! Now most of you are wondering what I went for in the end, and as you can see from above I chose a simplistic but structured dress. Upon a last minute decision to pop down to the shops, I came across this little number in H&M! When trying it on I wasn't hoping for much, thankfully I was pleasantly surprised!
Now Im a curvy girl, and this dress couldn't have done them any better! The fit around the bust felt secure but sexy, with a nipped in waist and paneling brought down from the waist around my hips (with hidden pockets too). Overall the dress fit me in all the right area's and brought out the curves I often hide. For £20 it was the best bargain yet...considering the black one with stars version now!
As you can see from the images, I wasn't the only one making the effort. My sister (first image) celebrated her 18th Birthday on New Years Eve and wore a Navy strapless, body- con dress with crystal embellishment from Topshop. Amy wore a multicoloured shift dress teamed with black heels, Kayla opted for this detailed purple shirt from Primark and teamed it with her black mini skirt, giving her a sophisticated edge. Charlotte and Max opted for a glamorous approach by wearing a purple shift dress, velvet blazer, embellished bow tie, checked shirt and maroon chino's (finished off with a zip at the bottom).
Keren, Fiona and Tom all looked ready for the ball with their sophisticated and elegant approach to the evening. Keren's turquoise cross over dress with the black detailed band is from New Look. Fiona's LBD with embellished shoulder's gave her dress a twist; Tom's outfit screamed class and style, as Tom's approach was a toned down but very now.
Nicki and Deanna (pictured below) both let their tops do the talking. Nicki's floral crop top was teamed with a black mini skirt and flats, perfect for those long nights. Deanna wore the leopard print leotard with wet look inspired leggings and boots. Followed by eye-catching earrings and her hair tied up, perfect to get those ears getting noticed. Ily's metallic green shift dress from H&M lets the outfit do the talking, perfect to dress down with boots and tights or dolled up bare legged and killer heels. Beth wore a floral inspired piece, the shift dress consisted of a one sleeve design, bold floral prints and perfectly matched with her green feather earrings and purple eye shadow.
Finally the show stopping look for the night? Deanna's gold star eyelashes! Couldn't find something better myself for a night like that.
A Gold star for effort there.

Oh you! *blushes*
