"I was thinking about a woman as an object of desire. We go to such lengths to adorn ourselves that we almost become our clothes or are taken over by them. This is a collection about excess - an exploration of ideals of beauty at their most extreme.” Sarah Burton
Even before Lee McQueen's death I was a huge fan of the Alexander McQueen collection, mainly for his theatrical shows and outlandish designs. After however, I started to wonder of his empire would fall and become mainstream. I was wrong (fortunately). Thanks to Sarah Burton, the brand has been revitalized and has come stronger each time. If designing Kate Middletons dress was enough, Sarah has only gone and welcomed the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer'12 look with a strong sense of femininity and power combined with this seasons fetish look. Take a look at this link and you'll see what I mean.
